About The Angel On Call Dog Rescue

We have had animals as pets for most of our lives and each has brought its own joy and fill our life's with companionship.

There came a time so many years ago that we started to sense that there are those that could be saved and given a place to live and be what they are or will be.

About 14 years ago we moved into our house and set up the household and both of us had pets and as time went on, our friends passed and we sought new friends to share our life's with.

We never considered getting a new friend or two from a breeder, there is nothing wrong at all with breeders or breeding of dogs. The problem comes when we as humans fail to consider what is required when we bring a furry friend into our homes.

Some friends escape and are lost, some are abandoned and some are simply thought of as play things and when the urge passes they are discarded.

Angel, the mascot for the rescue, came to us as we were asked to foster a larger dog. We gladly accepted her as a foster. When she arrived we were told that she is a Husky Shepard mix.

We were a bit suspicious as we have a Wolf Dog before Angel arrived and the similarities were distinct. She had the same large wrists, the same eyes and the look behind them.

Our suspicions were confirmed when we brought Silver back to the breeder where we found her and brought Angel along, but at time her name was not Angel.

As she came from the car came the comment, that's Angel! Well, no thought her name is Sasha. We were corrected and told that she was the families Wolf Dog and was adopted out, reluctantly, and her name is Angel as she was one of a litter of eight and she was the only one to survive and she was thought to have a guardian angel looking out for her. Angel is about 80% Wolf and 20% German Shepard.

And thank you for caring about our Four Legged Friends.
